John T. Guice (November 5, 1923 – October 1, 2001) was the national director of the Air National Guard from Feb 1977 - April 1981.[3][4] and retired in 1982.
He completed pilot training in May 1944, and graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y in 1947. A graduate of Air War College Commemorative History class of 1966.[5] In 1972, the general was assigned as executive of the National Guard Bureau, moving up to deputy director of the Air National Guard in 1974 and director in 1977.
